Private Gynecologist and Women’s Health Specialist in Jerusalem
Body-Mind Aware Women's Health Care
Dr. Tamar Elram is a senior gynecologist with many years of clinical and leadership experience. She offers compassionate, comprehensive women's health care that views each woman as a whole person—body, mind, and spirit.
Her approach combines extensive medical expertise and evidence-based medicine with deep listening, respect for each woman's personal boundaries, and an understanding of how physical and emotional life experiences can affect health throughout adolescence, the reproductive years, and menopause.
Dr. Elram believes that the medical encounter should be a meaningful, safe, and nonjudgmental space. Her work integrates trauma-informed care, recognizing that previous experiences, physical injury, loss, pain, or feelings of helplessness may influence how women experience gynecologic examinations and treatments.
This patient-centered approach is reflected in a personalized pace, clear explanations, shared decision-making, and full respect for both physical and emotional boundaries. Each patient is an active partner in her care.
The goal is to create a healing medical experience that is supportive, empowering, and restorative, helping reduce suffering throughout every stage of a woman's life.
Dr. Elram has held senior leadership positions in the Israeli healthcare system, including serving as Director General of Hadassah Medical Center Mount Scopus Hospital from 2017 to 2025. She is also a poet, author of two poetry books, and the founder and CEO of the Movement for Conscious Leadership.

Dr. Tamar Elram: Why Your Doctor's Words Can Be Traumatic?
♀️✨ In this short teaser from the Keshet Refua podcast, Dr. Tamar Elram, a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology, speaks about the profound impact that physicians' words can have on their patients. She explains why true medical responsibility begins with attentive listening and with creating a calm and safe experience for every woman, and why it is sometimes necessary to "untie the knots" left by previous diagnoses that were delivered without sufficient sensitivity.
